Tragically, Bruce passed away in an accident, but his family and community are determined to keep his spirit alive through exhibitions, public art, and the preservation of his remarkable studio. Crafting a tribute tee felt like the perfect way to celebrate Bruce’s life while raising funds to sustain his studio and grounds.
Leading this entire effort is Nick Maimone, whose passion for community and craftsmanship at Sunrise Homestead mirrors Bruce’s own ethos. Nick’s vision for the project was clear: create something meaningful, authentic, and worthy of Bruce’s name. The design, brought to life by the talented artist Ryan Rhodes of Land, captures the essence of Bruce’s sculptures—bold, organic, and timeless. Ryan’s thoughtful approach ensured every line and curve honored Bruce’s artistic spirit and even includes a custom font pulled from one of Bruce’s old signs and a photo of him hard at work. At Apparel Graphics, we poured our expertise into screen printing a tee that’s as soft as it is substantial, enduring like the wood Bruce carved.
